These Justin sea turtles were born as a 13-B and have just been re-lasted to 13-D/E. Francisco Mendoza did his best and outstanding work on these! No flaws on these. They look brand new and have not been worn since restoration. I'm in no hurry to sell and they are listed on multiple platforms. There are a lot of sea turtle boots out there but many are trash.  Reptiles HAVE to be conditioned regularly just like lizard, croc, gator, etc.  These have been maintained by an adult since new and stored properly.  The only reason to "restore" this pair was to change the width from "B" to a "D/E".  This requires a "relasting" to make the boots again.  VERY FEW cobblers will perform and execute this type of change due to US regulations and the Endangered Species Act of 1973 prohibiting the harvesting of this and many other animals.  Just to work on the boots (not including cleaning, etc.) or have anything to do with the leather requires a special permit.  Also, Justin Boots was one of several US based boot manufacturers that made these BEFORE the ban was put into effect.  BEWARE: THERE ARE A LOT OF BOOTS OUT THERE WITH NO MANUFACTURER OR LABEL PRINTED.  MORE THAN LIKELY THESE ARE POACHED ANIMALS.  STAY AWAY FROM THESE NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE.  THERE ARE A LOT OF PURSES AND BAGS TOO THAT HAVE BEEN CONVERTED TO BOOTS.  THE STATUS OF "PRE-BAN" IS HIGHLY SUSPECT WITH THEM.
