Here ya go collectors!  Pangolin (anteater as it is called) has been banned from commercial harvesting for decades.  Unfortunately it is the most trafficed leather in the world right now.  The scales are considered "medicinal" in the far east (they have ZERO actual medicinal properties).  Only footwear made BEFORE the animal made it to the endangered species list are legal to own.  This makes most boots made from reputable manufacturers like Montana, Lucchese, Tony Lama, Dan Post, ML Leddy, TO Stanley and others out there legal to own in the US but don't cross any borders unless you want them potentially confiscated!
