The Diamond J by Justin 7182M Vintage Black Teju Lizard boots are a limited edition, handmade pair of Western-style boots in size 13-D. The Diamond J western-boot trademark records a first commercial use date of June 20, 1989. We then have hard contemporary evidence of “Diamond J Ropers by Justin” in a July 1990 Texas newspaper advertisement.
By February 1991, Texas retailers were advertising “Diamond J by Justin” boots. Diamond J was still prominently being marketed in 1994, including alongside Justin boots, Justin Industries' 1995 annual report specifically lists Diamond J among its footwear trade names, and the Diamond J Boots showroom was still listed in the Dallas directory for 1997/98.
